Grandma Rens’ never-fail Pot Roast

Ingredients:
  • 3 lb roast (beef or pork), or larger
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 can diet cola
  • 1 pkg. Lipton mushroom-onion soup mix

Preparation:
  1. Place meat in roasting pan.
  2. Mix soup, dry soup mix, and cola together and pour over meat.
  3. Cover and cook at 350˚F for 30-40 minutes per pound (approx. 2 ½ hrs).
May add potatoes, carrots, onion, etc. to roaster if desired. The roast will be “fall apart” tender and will make its own gravy.
