Steak Soup


Ingredients:
  • 1 ½ lb ground beef, browned and drained
  • 1 c. chopped onion
  • 1 c. diced celery
  • 1 tsp. pepper
  • ½ tsp. salt
  • 5 Tbsp. beef boullion
  • 1 c. shredded carrots
  • 1 c. shredded potatoes
  • 1 can drained peas
  • ½ c. flour

Preparation:
  1. Simmer onions, carrots, potatoes, and celery in 2 quarts water until partly cooked.
  2. Drain and reserve liquid.
  3. Melt butter in pan used to brown meat. Remove from heat and blend in flour to make smooth paste.
  4. Gradually mix in water (use liquid from veg. & enough to equal 2 qts.) stirring until paste is smoothly mixed.
  5. Combine all ingredients and cook until thoroughly heated.
