Ingredients:
- 2 c. uncooked penne pasta
- 2 c. sliced fresh mushrooms
- 1 c. sliced green onions
- 2 Tbsp. butter
- ½ c. chicken broth
- 1 tsp. minced garlic
- 1 Tbsp. flour
- 1/3 c. water
- 1 c. heavy whipping cream
- 2 c. cooked chicken, cubed
- ¼ tsp. salt
- 1/8 tsp. pepper
- shredded parmesan cheese
Preparation:
- Cook pasta according to pkg directions. Drain pasta.
- In large skillet, sauté onions and mushrooms in butter until tender.
- Add broth and garlic. Bring to a boil; cook about 5 minutes.
- Combine flour and water until smooth and add to mixture. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat, cook and stir for about 2 minutes or until thickened.
- Stir in cream. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat, simmer uncovered 4-5 minutes or until heated through.
- Add pasta, chicken, salt, and pepper to cream sauce. Cook 3-4 minutes or until heated through.
- Sprinkle finished servings with parmesan cheese.
